Lily Cummings, multimedia journalist

About

A reporter who earns the story.

Lily Cummings is an award-winning multimedia journalist who anchors the weekend morning show and reports for WWL-TV in New Orleans. In 2025, the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters named her Louisiana Reporter of the Year; the year before, she took home Multimedia Journalist of the Year.

She is a two-time regional Emmy winner. Her first came while covering the Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial for KTUL-TV in her hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has since added a Suncoast Emmy for historical and cultural reporting.

Lily earned her B.A. in Mass Communication magna cum laude from Loyola University New Orleans, where she was the first student to win a Hearst Award, placing 7th nationally in TV News. She holds a Master of Studies in Law from the University of Southern California, completed while reporting full-time.

When she's not chasing a story, she's planning her next trip, running, or spending time with family.

Passionate. Driven. Curious.
